Idioms are common and uncommon phrases that have a different figurative meaning than the literal meanings. So, now It’s Time to hit the Road and experience prerecorded online idioms workshops! Once we get this show on road with an extensive list of American English idiom workshops, you will observe and participate interactively signing English idiom phrases and transforming into ASL. Once you have traveled down this road you will want to travel even further down the road for more and more demonstrations of idioms into ASL. There is simply no end of the road in sight. Participants will be able to define the term “idiom” and give at least threeexamples.
Educational Objectives:
• Participants will be able to recall and recite the origins, of at least six American English idioms.
• Participants will be able to recognize and identify the meanings at least nine American English idioms
• Participants will be able to identify a minimum of six American English idioms for the purpose of transforming their meaning in American Sign Language.
