This workshop will prepare you to take the written examination for the Sign Certificate Legal. The information that will be covered originates from RID’s SC: L’s Performance examination outline. And will specifically cover, I. The Miranda Act admonition, Version-1, and The MirandaAct admonition, Version-2. II. Courtroom Scenarios, III. Qualifying the Interpreter Scenario, Deaf Interpreter, IV. Qualifying the Interpreter Scenario, Hearing Interpreter. V. Jury Instructions Scenario and in addition, this WebShop will cover Plea Bargaining, Expert Witness Testimony, and interpretations of various cases civil and criminal, from personal injury, driving under the influence, robbery, burglary and more.

Educational Objectives:

• Participants will examine and formulate two versions of the Mirada Act.

• Participants will analyze and demonstrate the interpretation Expert Witness Testimony in consecutive sign language.

• Participants will Synthesize and reproduce the Jury Instructions as recited by a Judge.
