This workshop an overview of legal interpreting from the arrest phase, arraignment phase and Argument phase if the case proceeds to go to the trial phase. This workshop is a comprehensive study that will teach you everything you will need to know about interpreting from start to finish learning legal terms and signing in legal situations. We will be examining specifically, legal vocabulary, signs used during an Arrest, Miranda, Probation, Court Arraignment, and a variety of Criminal, Civil and Traffic Court matters. We will review Family Law/Domestic Violence, Divorce, and the Protocols of Superior courts, and more.
Educational Objectives:
• Participants will identify and be able to express at least 3 legal terms during an arrest phase.
• Participants will identify and be able to express at least 5 legal terms during an arraignment phase.
• Participants will analyze be able to describe in detail the differences between formal and informal probation, and the constitutional rights they give-up while on probation.
