This workshop is an overview of the protocols and procedures of a Juvenile court trial. Participants will become familiarized with Juvenile legal terminology for the purpose ofinterpreting Juvenile court trial. This course will teach participants about signing legal termsfrom the detention Intake, probation, arrests process, arraignments, pre-trials and trials phases.

Educational Objectives:

Participants will be able to identify and determine at least 5 Juvenile Statutes used in theJuvenile Court system.
Participants will be able to identify at least 3 differences in the Juvenile and Adult Court trials and what precedes Juveniles being tried as adults.
Participants will be able to recognize which Juveniles are good candidates for a DEJ program and how DEJs are determined by probation.
